Good Shepherd Christian Preschool is a vibrant community of Teachers, Parents, and Young Children gathered to cultivate six spheres of development: adaptive, social, cognitive, communicative, physical, and spiritual, within a distinctive Christian environment.
We are part of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of South Hills, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Our preschool provides a nurturing, faith-based early childhood education experience for families in our community.
Our Mission
The mission of Good Shepherd Christian Preschool is to share the Love of Jesus with young children and their families while laying an educational foundation for life.
Educational Philosophy
Learning through exploration, interaction, and discovery
Good Shepherd Christian Preschool believes that young children learn through exploration and interaction with their surroundings. Our program seeks to provide learning experiences that encourage children to explore, observe, experiment, share and grow.
We combine play-based learning with intentional teaching moments, creating an environment where children can explore, discover, and learn through hands-on experiences. Our curriculum is designed to be developmentally appropriate, engaging, and supportive of each child's unique learning style.

Our Facilities
Located at 418 Maxwell Drive in Pittsburgh, our preschool is part of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church facility. We have dedicated classrooms designed for early childhood learning, with age-appropriate materials and spaces that encourage exploration and creativity.
Safety and security are our top priorities. Our facilities are maintained to the highest standards, and we follow all state licensing requirements to ensure a safe environment for all children.
